About Paper Boat Tales

Paper Boat Tales was started as a way for children to experience the joy of receiving letters in this highly digital age. It’s a way to provide screen-free moments and learning. The intention is to help create a love of reading, writing and language for children aged between 6 and 12. Letters containing stories and activities for children learning English as a foreign language are sent twice a month. 

About Candace

Candace has worked in applied drama and education since 2009. She has taught in schools as an English teacher and has taught the British National curriculum, the Cambridge curriculum, the Waldorf curriculum and the Portuguese National curriculum. She owned a Theatre in Education company which performed plays and workshops in schools and libraries in three countries. When she lived in Shakespeare's hometown, Stratford-upon-Avon, she specialised in literature and Shakespeare-based drama workshops in primary schools there.

When not teaching, she likes to read, write and cook. She is a mom to two children and has lived in three countries.
